Safety Under The New Administration

No doubt, government is getting bigger than ever. It
expanded exponentially in the last six months in the
area of corporate financial oversight and it is
positioned to grow quickly the area of occupational
safety and health. Make no mistake, change is on its

Safety Stories

From time to time I come across a safety story
through my network. In the part of the Safety Spot

Scrub Your Assumptions About Safety

Far too often we live our lives and do our work under
the same assumptions that we used decades ago.
This can be costly, dangerous, and even fatal. Actor
Alan Alda said, "Begin challenging your own
assumptions. Your assumptions are your windows on
the world. Scrub them off every once in awhile, or the
light won't come in." Sometimes we have to stop and

In our work with executives and managers concerning
workplace safety, we often find leaders that are
individually and collectively making decisions based

Would you like to earn a copy of my r's newest book, I
Am Safe! or a copy of my best seller, Who Is
Responsible for Safety? (Oh, you already have both of
them? No problem! I have others that you can earn.)
I am conducting a phone survey and would like to get
your help for about five to seven minutes. This is a
research project to identify the trends and issues that
will have an effect on the ability of companies to target
zero-injuries in the next 12-24 months. I will only ask
you 3 questions during the survey.
If you are a participant in this survey you will earn a
copy of one of my books (I know, tickets to Hawaii
would be better, but) and an executive summary of
the trends and issues when the research is complete.
If you would like to participate, please email me at:

I need to tell you right up front - I won't be able to
interview everyone who responds. Email me today to
ensure a spot in the pool of people I will
survey.
You will be contacted by email to confirm a time to
call. The call will only take about five to seven minutes
(unless you have more to say or questions to ask me
about safety, fishing, or politics). I apologize ahead of
time that it is likely I will not be able to contact
everyone. If you really want to participate and will feel
like the world is ending if I don't pick you, let me know
in the email by typing in Please Pick Me!
I hope to pick you and call you for this survey and look
forward to the call.
Thanks and, Be Safe!
